At eTail Germany Connect, we spoke to Fabian Burgey Director SME Business Europe at RTL AdAlliance, to see why they chose to sponsor.

Why did you choose to sponsor eTail Germany Connect in 2024?

Fabian: eTail Germany Connect is great because it's more intimate than other conferences. You have the opportunity to talk directly to people and dive into deep operational and financial questions, such as feedback from clients. As well as getting a sense of what they are looking for and what their plans or agendas are for the next three to five years. It's great to have those meetings with potential clients. This is what we really liked at eTail Connect.

How have you found the quality of delegates?

Fabian: The quality of delegates was good, especially because RTL AdAlliance is an international company. We work in mainland Europe. We talked to many clients who also have an international global view on different points. It is also very interesting for us to compare the US with Europe and, within Europe, to compare France with Germany. It was a good opportunity for us to get more insights from international clients and retailers.

How have you found the networking opportunities?

Fabian: We have enjoyed them. The location was great, and the eTail Connect team and Mastercard did a really good job on the Gala dinner. It was a really nice atmosphere. The networking Bingo was also very fun and helped us meet a lot of people.

How many meetings have you had overall?

Fabian: I think we have had 30 to 40 meetings in total, which we are positive will have follow ups. We used the app, with the relevant information before our meetings which worked very well.

Do you see sponsoring eTail Germany Connect having a positive impact on your 2024 business goals?

Fabian: Yes. We are here because we want to do business, and are looking for new partners and clients. It was also interesting for us to talk on a very high level with clients about their ambitions, plans, and challenges and see how our solutions can match them. Right now, it looks positive. The eTail team did really good job.
