At eTail Germany Connect, we spoke to Dr. Thilo Pfrang, Founder & CEO at Behamics, to see why they chose to sponsor.

Why did you choose to sponsor eTail Germany Connect?

Thilo: This is the first time we are sponsoring eTail Germany Connect. We like the conference format because it offers valuable one-to-one meetings, which seems to be the core of your connect events. The attendee list was also interesting to us. Therefore, we decided that this could be a good match and we would benefit from meeting people here.

How has been the quality of delegates for you onsite?

Thilo: The quality of the delegates was great. Our clients are e-commerce shops, and there were very interesting brands and companies here. That was also reflected in our meetings, which were really good.

People were more open to disclosing information because the exclusive environment felt more private. They were also more open about communicating their problems and willing to engage with us; it didn’t feel like it was our first meeting.

How have you found the networking opportunities?

Thilo: The format of the networking opportunities have been great. You have these open tables, which helps you meet people easily. Even in the main plenary room, you have the open tables to encourage networking.

We feel that the probability of follow-ups is relatively high, and there might be some next steps or even converting them into long-term clients.

How many 1-1 meetings have you had? Do you think these will lead to good follow-ups?

Thilo: We had around 10 meetings even though we had less on our sponsorship package. Quite a few companies approached us, which indicates that they like us or see an interesting solution in our company. We also had more meetings than expected, which is great.

We feel that the probability of follow-ups is relatively high, and there might be some next steps or even converting them into long-term clients.

Do you see sponsoring this event positively impacting your 2024 goals?

Thilo: eTail Connect was really valuable compared to other conferences. There was a good density of high-profile people from great brands which was valuable for us. We're thinking we could definitely sponsor again in the future.
